Robert Reid Memorial Piece

Robert was much involved with several charities, amongst them Hospiscare

After consultation with them a trolley for the sale of gift items was decided upon.

Two of our group, Ed Pot and Natasha Gowdy, put their heads together and devised a clever design, which would enable several members to each make components.

 Eventually the members concerned, Ed Pot, Nick Thwaites, Sam Walsh, Jon Getz and Allen Malpass all met in Allen’s workshop for final assembly and finishing.

After much head scratching........

and much of  the usual light-hearted banter so typical whenever DFM members meet..........

the trolley was completed with not even one piece left over!

The result! 

The finished trolley was presented by Ed Pot and our Chairman Allen Malpass, on behalf of Robert’s wife, Sadie, to Hospiscare, Exeter.
